Boho Documentation

Using Elementor you have control over every part of the design, simply click what you want to edit and the options will appear on the left column. I’ve even included instructions in the demo text for each section to take the guess work out of editing.  Below are some instructions on where to find certain parts to edit.

Importing the Template Kit

  1. If you don’t have a theme installed you can install the free “Hello Elementor” theme in WordPress: https://elementor.com/hello-theme/
  2.  Install the free “Elementor” plugin in WordPress: https://wordpress.org/plugins/elementor/
  3. Install the free “Template Kit Import” plugin in WordPress: https://wordpress.org/plugins/template-kit-import/
  4. Purchase and download this template kit, it will be a zip file.
  5. Go to Tools > Template Kits and upload the template kit zip file
  6. Follow the prompts to insert the desired templates and build the pages for your website using the Elementor drag and drop builder.

Using a header

The template kit has a few header style options named “Header – number”, If you are using Elementor Free you can simply insert them each of your pages. The free headers use a list item for the main menu,

If you are using Elementor Pro follow the steps to creating a Header using the theme builder on the Elementor site.  The Pro headers use a WordPress menu.

Using a Footer

The template kit has a few footer style options named “footer – option”, If you are using Elementor Free you can simply insert them each of your pages.

If you are using Elementor Pro follow the steps to creating a footer using the theme builder on the Elementor site.

Global fonts and colours

Elementor has a great new feature called “Theme Style“, it lets you change the styles of the Body font, links, Headings, buttons and forms.  This template kit uses these settings.  If your current site uses the Theme Style feature; the Template kit should automatically use your current settings.

You also have the option of Importing the Theme Style file I have setup for Boho; so the kit looks the same as the demo.  I recommend this is where you should start customising your design.

Editing Home Page 1

Working down the page I will give an overview on how to change the images and text to suit your business.

Header

The Header is inserted directly on the page as a section, it is not set as a global header for your site, so your changes here won’t update on other pages automatically. Make your changes on this header then copy it to your other pages.

If you are using Elementor Pro follow the steps to  creating a Header using the theme builder on the Elementor site.  This will create one Header file that will display on your whole website.

Hero Photo

To change the photo in hero area, click on it, then choose a new photo to replace with your own, a transparent PNG is recommended. If you want to use this photo it is available for licencing on Elements.

The text can be changed by clicking on each heading and typing.

Featured photo

To change the photos next to the welcome message; click on the image then use the left panel to select your own.  There are 2 separate photos overlapping each other, they are set to crop to a square for you automatically.

The text can be changed by clicking on each heading /text block and typing.

Block - Sales

The blue background on this section can be changed in section > style tab > background color and the white graphics and border will remain in-front.

The text can be changed by clicking on each heading /text block and typing.

Block -Product Thumbs

This product layout uses the “Image Box” widget, click on the edit button and change the photos and details to your own, add a link to the page for your full product, don’t forget to add the same link to the button.

Block -Testimonial

This layout uses all the single Testimonial widget, click to add your own text and customer info.

Block -Icon widgets

This layout uses the icon widget, you can choose your own icon from the Font Awesome list, change the title and text.

Footer

The footer is inserted directly on the page as a section, it is not set as a global footer for your site, so your changes here won’t update on other pages automatically. Make your changes on this footer then copy it to your other pages.  You can change the background color and the wood texture will remain over the top.

If you are using Elementor Pro follow the steps to creating a footer using the theme builder on the Elementor site.  This will create one footer file that will display on your whole website.
